This depends on the type and size of car being used, how large a scooter or powerchair needs to be transported, how many people will be in the vehicle during transportation and how much weight can be lifted. with all scooters and powerchairs there are always elements of the machine that are quite heavy, so dismantling and lifting into the back of a car is not an easy thing to do. Using a hoist fitted into the back of a vehicle can help, but often the seat will need to be removed.
