You do not have to display L Plates and you can take a passenger on the back. However, if you want to ride up to a 125cc machine, you need: the Category A on your license, to pass a CBT and display L Plates. You cannot take a passenger on the back.

Yes. The RTA requires you attend a pre-learner course. The course is two half days of training and requires no previous experience. You will be provided with a helmet, gloves and scooter (or motorcycle). The course is subsidized by the State government and only costs $68, which can be paid with a credit card when you make your reservation. Phone RTA on 132213. You will then need to complete a knowledge test. Sample questions can be viewed on www.rta.nsw.gov.au.

Students can use their own motorcycle as long as it is 350 cc or less. Current registration and proof of insurance (minimum required by law) will need to be provided prior to riding on the range. The motorcycle must also be in mechanically sound condition.

Our ATV License Plate Kit does not make your ATV street legal. Some states do allow ATV's to be used on the road when outfitted with the proper equipment. However, the ATV License Plate Kit is for displaying your off- road registration decal and/or assigned numbers on the back of your ATV.
