Do I need a license to ride a scooter?
Scooter Central > FAQ, Finance, Insurance > FAQYes. The RTA requires you attend a pre-learner course. The course is two half days of training and requires no previous experience. You will be provided with a helmet, gloves and scooter (or motorcycle). The course is subsidized by the State government and only costs $68, which can be paid with a credit card when you make your reservation. Phone RTA on 132213. You will then need to complete a knowledge test. Sample questions can be viewed on www.rta.nsw.gov.au.
