The instructor determines how to structure their course. Check the course syllabus for full details. Most courses follow the semester with assignment due dates, test dates, etc. as noted by the instructor.

Online courses follow the same semester schedule as all other credit courses at Montgomery College. Depending on the instructor an online class may be available for student access up to a week before the scheduled semester start date. Course sections in the schedule which bear the designators "DL" for Building, and "Web" for Room are completely online. If a portion of the class has a specific meeting time on campus, the dates and times will be listed.

Not usually. They are typically more rigorous. For example, to be successful in an online course one must do considerable reading and writing in the communications area. Further, since the communications are not in real-time, it is expected that each student will reflect deeply or perform research to prepare their written responses. It also helps to possess most or all of the attributes of a successful online leaner (see Online Student Success).

The Anesthesia & Analgesia CME program is offered to IARS members as a free benefit of membership. Because the IARS supports 100% of the cost of this program, it is only available to IARS members. If you are not an IARS member, you can join the IARS through their website. ($140/year) and have full access to the CME program. Because a CME record can only be associated with a specific individual, the CME program is not available through institutional subscriptions.

Many state CME requirements can be completed from portions of selected Challenger courses.
