The IR Series uses infrared transmission. RF can transmit through walls and IR cannot, Therefore for installations requiring discretion, privacy, or otherwise interference-free transmission (e.g., government, military, school applications), IR is generally more appropriate. The ALD has a somewhat easier set-up and greater range performance and is ideal for churches, theaters and conference rooms where eliminating leakage into other areas is not as critical.

Window ventilation and convection hoods are passive-the warm fumes rise, and hopefully, are diluted or escape. This requires very large volumes of fresh air, which is costly in the winter. External hoods do not help internal kiln performance.

HEROES III is like HEROES II, however, it has been greatly enhanced and numerous new elements have been added. More monsters and hero types, more town types, bigger battlefield (15x11 hexes as opposed to 11x9 in HEROES II), more spells, 128 artifacts, 28 secondary skills, etc. Each hero will now have a paper-doll artifact equipment screen, so only 1 weapon, 1 shield, 1 armor, etc can now be equipped. This will counterbalance the 'make a single superhero' strategy.

Temperamentally, there is little difference between the sexes in Goldens. Neither sex is harder to housetrain, and both are equally intelligent and affectionate. Both are excellent with children, and both make excellent companions. Problems of aggressiveness, which males of other breeds may exhibit, should not occur in the Golden.

The VL1 keyboard and rackmount VL1-m were the original VL synths. There were very expensive when they were released in 1994 ($4-5,000). These synths are the only VL series hardware synths with 2 note polyphony. All the other hardware synths are one note polyphonic (monophonic). The XV-5080 is the flagship model and has 128 note polyphony and sample loading capability. 128 note polyphony is way overkill for a wind controller.
